The Spartanburg County Foundation hires new Director of Community Philanthropy

KimberlyThe Spartanburg County Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Kimberly C. Days, as the Director of Community Philanthropy.

Days will be responsible for leading the Foundation’s communications and marketing activities.  She will also work with the staff and Trustees of the Foundation to ensure donors’ philanthropic objectives are met, their knowledge of the community is broadened, and their relationship with The Spartanburg County Foundation is strong.


Previously, Days served as President and Owner of Tri Tier Consulting, a local consultant company specializing in grant writing, fundraising and event planning for nonprofits.  Kimberly has worked with local organizations such as Reach Upstate, and The American Red Cross in pursuing funding to better enable them to meet their missions.  Previously, Kimberly served in the for-profit sector as an Independent Insurance Agent for RBC Insurance Services and Colonial Insurance out of Greenville.  She also has experience as a Recruiting Assistant for Milliken & Co.  Kimberly recently relocated to Spartanburg with her husband Dartan Days, who is in management with ADT.  Dartan and Kimberly have a daughter, Trinity, who is 10 and a son Bryant, who is 13.

Kimberly holds a Communications Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Winthrop University and currently is pursuing her Nonprofit Management Certificate with Duke University.  She is very active in the Spartanburg Community as a Board Member for Reach Upstate and as a fundraising volunteer with the American Red Cross.  Kimberly has strong leadership skills, along with a technical savvy that enables her to achieve great results in all her endeavors.
